What's stored

When you shorten a link, the destination URL, the short code, and the time it was created are saved so the redirect keeps working. That's it, there's no account, no name, no email tied to it.

What isn't stored

No cookies are set. No analytics or tracking scripts run on this site. Your IP address is used only in memory, for a few minutes, to stop spam. It's never written to disk or linked to the links you create.

Your browser

The "recent links" list on the home page lives in your browser's local storage only. It's never sent to the server, and clearing your browser data clears it.
